Essay Competition for Teens

Encouraging the spirit of giving, PSRC welcomes entries for its Essay Competition 2014 on PSR (Personal Social Responsibility) from teens across the globe. Please send in a brief essay on any of the following topics not exceeding 300 words:

- If you were given $ 1 million to make an impact on society, how would you spend it and why?

- What attribute of the personality of any celebrity are you most proud of, and how has it impacted your life so far?

- Describe any activity of charity or giving that you have personally witnessed or experienced that had a deep impression on you.

- Tell us about the most significant challenge that humanity faces. When you are an adult, and have a lot more power and influence than today, how would you like to address it?


The top three entries will receive prizes and certificates for each of the following years of birth: 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002. The next best 20 entries will receive “Certificates of Merit” and showcased on the

Rules and Regulations

This competition is open to all teens (those born between June 1, 1996 and May 31, 2002)

  • All entries must be written in English
  • No more than one entry will be accepted from each teenager
  • The essay should be original (do not plagiarise)
  • AEIOU reserves the right to publish the essays once submitted for this competition.

Evaluation Criteria Based on Originality, Clarity, Practicality & Scalability; a tip: do not wait for the deadline; early submission gives you an opportunity to get feedback to improve your essay! Submission.
